Stælla is combined with an innovative underlay in the form of a wheat pillow. This unique combination means that Stælla can be placed on both uneven and soft surfaces, for example on the sofa.

The wheat cushion not only acts as a stable base, but also helps keep your drink hot or cold. You can heat the pillow in the microwave or chill it in the freezer to maintain the desired temperature for your beverage

Stælla began as a student project at Luleå University of Technology. We wanted to create a glass that doesn't need a table to stand on, a glass that rests safely next to you on the sofa or favorite armchair.

The glass rests safely and stably on its pillow, which consists of a linen pillow filled with edible wheat. Edible wheat has very good heating properties and the pillow can be heated in the microwave or cooled in the freezer. In this way, it helps to keep your drink at the desired temperature for longer, whether it is to keep the cognac lukewarm or the whiskey cool. Stælla's design is based on contrast and simplicity, both in terms of shape and choice of materials. The round shape of the glass contrasts the square shape of the cushion. The glass is glossy, hard, smooth and transparent, while the cushion is matte, soft, opaque and with a rough texture. The glass is mouth-blown and they are made from recycled environmental crystal
